Pirates of Caribbean : On Stranger Tides.

Seems like the last movie i actually watched in the cinema was P.O.C ( Pirates of Caribbean ) : On Stranger Tides.

I actually enjoyed it a lot. Funnily it was a breath of fresh air that this time there's no Keira Knightly or Orlando Bloom in the movie.

Seductive mermaids.

Favorite movie scene? Mermaids eating man alive . Woohoo! Not so the typical mermaid's happy ending everyone dream of eh? ;)

Storyline

Captain Jack Sparrow (Depp) crosses paths with a woman from his past (Cruz), and he's not sure if it's love -- or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

While filming in London in October 2010, Johnny Depp received a letter from a local 9-year old schoolgirl, telling him her classmates needed help to 'mutiny' against her teachers. He turned up with almost no warning at the school in full Sparrow outfit, but advised against mutiny.

This film is loosely based on the 1988 pirate novel 'On Stranger Tides', by Tim Powers. The novel's protagonist is a pirate named Jack, but his character is significantly different from Jack Sparrow, so it remains to be seen how much of the novel remains in the final film.

Johnny Depp bought new water proof jackets for 500 crew members on the set to protect them for the cold weather. He spent a total of $64,200 from his own pocket.
