'Watch Dogs' Trailer Pranks People by Hacking Their World

What would happen if your phone could hack any system? You could have any car, tons of cash and cause utter chaos anywhere you went.

That's exactly what Ubisoft, the makers of the video game Watch Dogs, want you to do. In their prank trailer, a shopkeeper takes unsuspecting customers on a thrilling adventure through the street with their newly refurbished smartphones to try out a mystery app. With the press of a button, the shopkeeper turns out lights, opens luxury cars, and knocks over ATMs.

You would think somewhere along the way the customers might feel the tug of their conscience with each of the shopkeepers demonstration, but everyone seems pretty comfortable with general vandalism, theft and even causing car accidents — as long as they don't get caught.
It's very likely that everyone was in on the prank from the beginning — because after all, it's all just a game.

An amazing smartphone app turns common people into powerful hackers and hidden cameras record their reaction as they unwillingly hack a street of Los Angeles.
