PLUS-SIZE PREDICAMENT: ONLINE SHOPPING

As a big girl, I totally understand the problems that come with finding stores that carry plus-sizes and honestly, there are only a handful that carry UK size 20 bottoms, and UK size 18 tops and 38DD bra size. Even brands that may have plus-size internationally only carry up to a UK 14 to UK 16 here in Kuala Lumpur. It’s not their fault because the demand for it in Asian countries is just not substantial enough for the local demographics. I am glad to say, however, that the number of Plus-Size-friendly brands/stores found locally have increased compared to 10 years ago and my curves welcome the change! :)

I do most of my shopping online via international sites ( like  ASOS Curve  -  Forever 21+ -  H&M+ -  Fashion to Figure) and while there’s plenty of options on cyberspace, nothing beats the feeling of trying on clothes, checking out your purchases at the cashier and then walking out of the shop with a big-ass grin on your face while you plan your outfit for the next day. But us curvy beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. There’s a certain degree of uncertainty about online shopping too. You can’t feel the material, you can’t try it on to see how it fits, so my greatest advice to all Curvy Girls and Slim girls is: Make a measuring tape your best friend.

If may sound like a great hassle and you may even get a little confused/frustrated if no one’s helping you but trust me when I say that this little bit of initial frustration is so much better than receiving your deliveries and realising that you can't wear them.
